Sassettes

Another fashion choice that doesn't seem like it would be very nowadays, but of course as a kid/teen, all you had to do was either go to school and hang out at the mall all day. This coveted plastic shoe was all the rage in 1984. I was excited to get my own pair in silver after hearing my older cousin brag about her pink ones forever.

Dr. Scholl's Exercise Sandals

I had a red pair of these wooden Dr. Scholl's sandals. Around 1983/84, everyone was wearing these things. I was in 3rd grade and my friends and I used to run around on the playground in them with no problem, but looking at them as an adult, I wonder how they could have possibly been comfortable? I would like to get a pair just to see, but at $88 in 2018, I think I'll pass and just remember the nostalgia!

Kajagoogoo

Maybe they were one hit wonders, but I still rock out to that one hit today!

Who's the Boss

Morten Harket

The lead singer of A-Ha, who made the ladies want to faint. 30-something years later, the Take On Me video is still cool AF!

Colors de Benetton

My favorite perfume of all times. It was such a disappointment when I bought a bottle in the early 2000s only to find out that they had changed the scent. Luckily, I have a few drops in my original bottle at my mom's house somewhere. In addition, I still have an unopened mini-bottle from high school, a 3rd of a bottle that found on Ebay, and a bottle I found in a vintage store in 2016. I gotta keep the 80s alive somehow!

Michael Jackson

My first celebrity crush.
